The sad thing about the focus of the GOTP primaries is very little attention is being given to the very issues they are running against ... for example I would like to hear why they malign OUR President over so many things he's accomplished - like Libya for example, or his peace prize, or DADT, or health care - - it seems anything this President does they are running against while meanwhile they are running FOR NOTHING themselves!

Nobody talks about the Presidents grand bargain involving a 5 trillion dollar spending cut - why? WHY? WHY?!

YET I'm still waiting to hear exactly what is wrong with OUR Presidents accomplishments and goals - when it comes to the truth they are house painters with extra large brushes and a huge bucket of lies!!!!

I think it would be fair to say that Santorum and Paul are not being honest with themselves and are close minded. They may believe what they are saying but they are not speaking for ALL Americans.

Many of us think in extremes when it comes to issues and causes we are passionate about.... we need a President who thinks before he speaks and acts on behalf of ALL Americans. You only get one shot at making certain decisions .... and even then you are doing good if you are right half the time!

In the case of Santorum and Paul their rigid stands against gay rights and foreign policy are mostly wrong with little room for compromises ... this has become common in the GOTP party where candidates are falling over one another to get to the extreme fight and satisfy what amounts to a small minority (tea baggers) of the shrinking GOTP base.

Most regular ex-GOP'ers are now independents .... with common sense dictating who they will vote for ... not political hacks or blind party loyalty

Ron Paul's lack of "knowledge" when it came to his published newsletters makes Santorum the most honest of these career politicians.

If the Republicans had to choose a tiny car full of clowns, why did they have to choose this particular one?

Honest republicans have gone the way of the Dodo bird. They sold their collective soul to the devil and its apparently coming home to roost. They are content to be ignorant in their education and their representatives. They are content be full of hypocrisy in erms of allowing religious zealots control their thoughts so thay could gain power. They have lost ALL common sense and a sense of balance. It is now a party completely controlled by extremists

If you want to know when this group of "candidates" are lying, all you have to do is see if their mouths are moving. This group panders to the lowest intellect, the religious blight, and the racist. I think after their epic defeat in November, we will hopefully see the gop claim control of their party again. Right now the idiots are running that village!

I think Ron Paul is, for the most part, atrocious but he is the only Republican candidate willing to say stuff even though he hears the audience booing. None of the other candidates would ever have the guts to do that (and Romney hemming and hawing about his tax returns doesn't count.)

I think that's why people think he's honest. Because he can continue to talk through boos. But ask him about his record on votingon certain issues or his managing skillzzz when it came to his newspaper. And he'll lie as quick as lightning.

I don't lean Republican but Buddy Roemer and John Huntsman seem both honest and level headed, they possess the experience without being too much of partisan insiders and with the right campaign backing either of them could eventually win the election and maybe even the populist vote.

None of the GOP line up that has made it this far has the integrity to hold the highest office.

Ron Paul is as much a hypocrite as Romney with his flip flops and Newt with his lack of ethics & character.

Ron Paul clearly accepts taking GOP money from the Corporate GOP machines, runs on the GOP ticket, and is running as a GOP candidate but expresses views totally outside the GOP party.

Ron Paul is either scamming the GOP out of their money or he is scamming the voters into believing they will get something other than a GOP candidate by voting for him.

I don't think the majority of people have really had time to properly analyze Ron Paul's bait & switch politics. He claims to be pro-life but then advocates for getting government "out of the bedroom" and turning over personal issues and other issues over to the states.

Why right wingers are so slow to catch on is incredible. If Ron Paul wants to shrink government and increase states rights by turning over abortion and marriage to the states to decide what are evangelicals going to do after supporting Ron Paul when they find that the majority of states vote to approve gay marriage and keep their existing abortion rights?

Ron Paul is like a trickster using patriotic rhetoric promising extreme change, even more extreme change than Obama, so his supporters should beware and simply look at where Ron Paul's money is coming from and which party he belongs to.

If Ron Paul runs as a 3rd party candidate he will lose all the GOP money backing him and will end up being the perpetual Ralph Nader of the right wing.

I like John Huntsman ... what you see is what you get - just like OUR President (in my opinion) ...

My concern has to do with cutting spending ... since this nation needs to spend a lot more re-educating the masses and raising the level of intellect in America.

Social programs like universal health care, unemployment compensation and welfare need to be improved which requires more of an investment.

The GOTP philosophy is to write off large segments of our population.

Now they are going after seniors and also young people who won't realize what no social security means until it is too late ..

Medicare and social security can be improved with time - but should not be removed and replaced with corporate controlled programs.

How happy is anyone in this nation with the huge telephone, cable and banking and credit card companies? We all have learned and suffered first hand from the abuses of the corpocracy.

Jon Huntsman is the best candidate for President and I sincerely hope he runs in 2016.

The Republican party has morphed into some sort of reptilian creature. Living off of creating fear, unrest, mistrust, lies and hatred.

Mr Huntsman is far too rational to have fought against the rabid Teapublicans running in the 2012 election.

We are a resilient group of Americans and we can overcome any adversity that threatens our basic rights to live free and make our own choices. We have never tolerated oppression. We certainly shouldn't stop fighting, especially if the threats are coming from our own elected officials.

That's three who claim Hunstman would be good.

What kind of international experience does he have?

I've heard so little, Romney and Gingrich seem to hold all the cards which has convinced me they're cheating.

Not about to sway from my candidate, just curious.

OMG Rocker, where have you been? Huntsman was Ambassador to China. He speaks that language fluently and is a recognised authority on far eastern politics. Considering China's growing international clout, I would call that quite valuable experience.
