On the Matthews show he has a running challenge to the Republican for several weeks saying: Is their Any Republican that could come on his show and say that they disagree or say Rush Limbaugh is wrong on any subject without publicly apologizing later. This segment is called: 'Out on a Limbaugh'. Chris also, a couple weeks ago invited Limbaugh to be guest on his show and said: Let's settle this, no response, no show.

This week Steve Scalise (R-LA) being interviewed on Hardball was repeatedly being asked by Mr. Matthews to try to get him (Steve) to say that he disagrees with Rush and proclaiming the he wasn't the leader of the Republican party. After many attempts to get a response and Mr. Scalise who continually was trying to avoid answering the question, becoming visually nervous and finally stated: Rush doesn't speak for me, I speak for me... And said John Boehner (R-OH) was the leader of the Republican party.

The Ronald Reagan rule: Goes something like this... Do not speak ill of thy fellow Republican. Mitch McConnel, a Senator from Kentucky said he totally disagreed with Joe Barton (R-TX) about apologizing to BP CEO Tony Hayward in the House subcommittee hearings about how the White House is treating the oil company's officials pertaining to the Gulf spill. I guess Mitch must have acquired some kind of waiver to the unwritten law. But when it comes to going against Mr. Limbaugh, it's impossible to be granted one.

Back in the Day. In high school, the Bully was saying bad things about Whimpy but this time Whimpy wanted to do something about it. When home, Whimpy had a fatherly talk about the situation. The man of House firmly ordered Whimpy that in school tomorrow, you will challenge him to a fight. He added, win or lose that's just what you have to do and that's final. The next day in class, Whimpy challenges Bully to a fight in the school yard after classes. Bully starts to laugh and says 'Yeah right, whatever. No, Whimpy says with a louder voice so all the classmates could hear, I challenge the Bully to a fight and if he doesn't show up, he's just a big coward. WOW... the Hot News travels through the school within minutes. Mostly saying ' I've got to see this. Later, when a crowd starts to gather for event after school, then suddenly and much to everyone sunrise ! Bully, thinking he has a legitimate excuse, he says: I'm not fighting , I heard that Whimpy has some sort of medical problems or something and I could get in trouble if I fought. Wooooo... Nobody could believe it. Disappointed, the crowd quickly disperses and walking toward the late comers, Who ask? Did they fight ? No.. the Bully chickened out... You probably think this about Chris and Rush but it is not, It's about Rachel Maddow and Dick Armey. If Mr. Armey thinks Rachel is not a legitimate TV political news host, He should appear on her show and it would be easy for him to verbally beat her up. I'm sure Ms. Maddow would take him up on the challenge.

Now back to Chris and Rush, who both have careers broadcasting news and opinions through the public airwaves. Yet, there are big differences. Matthews is in the big leagues, a seasoned Pro, who hits many Home Runs, gets several base hits and hardly ever strikes out. Who takes on all comers, even the Big and Bad Limbaugh, to come on and show him what he's got. He can handle the wickedest of curve balls and throw a fast HardBall fact right back down the pipe. And , has the decency to thank the opposing team members for showing up. Russ is like a single A minor league player but even worse. He goes to batting practice, chases fly balls in the outfield for years but never wants to play in the game. Saying the game is rigged the umpires cheat or something like that. You have to give him credit though, it seems he's never late for practice because that's what he's really so good at.

The Basement Broadcaster seems to have a lot of influence and control of the Republican Party. Even though, he is very rarely interviewed, doesn't have any guests on his talk show, has a delayed release so nothing sneaks on his program that he doesn't like. Has his phone calls screened, and hangs up on anybody that disagrees with him. He lives the life of a spoiled Brat. Can you see why he doesn't want to go on msnbc HardBall or any other show with opposing views to his. Rush Limbaugh has no experience on his resume. Could it be that he's afraid to come out of his Closet Commentary format because there's big scary Democrats out there.

The GOP appears to be completely loyal to this man and that should be totally unacceptable. He comes up with the Obama administration is a cartel, calls them Nazi's, says BP relief account is a Slush fund or whatever Negative things he can come up with Against the Democrats or liberals which he might be, underneath his facade ? With Rush leading the way, is surely the most likely reason why the GOP is the Party of No... No legislation, No Ideas, No Solutions. Just an attempt to put Republicans back in office so they can supposedly solve all the problems of the country. We just had Republican leadership, a short time ago and it turned out to be a huge disaster.

But, there are brave Republicans politicians and even Pro-GOP, conservative radio talk show hosts that go on msnbc shows, even knowing as a guest their general views will be disagreed with most of the time. Even the Hard talkers that say: Repeal and replace; Deficit Hawks; Tough on terror; Beef up the military; Drill baby Drill; and so on. Yet, when it to comes saying anything against Limbaugh, they become soft, like little chics in a Coop. Careful not to ruffle the feathers of the Big Chicken, Rooster Rush.

Chris Mathews is calling Rush Limbaugh out into the school yard for battle in their familiar sport. A War of Words. I'm sure Rachel Maddow and others would welcome him on their show to argue or just to discuss political issues. Rush is being called up to the Major League, it's his shot at the big time, to show the world what he's really made of. He could tare um to pieces and make the Dittoheads proud. OR, he could just stay in his familiar, safe environment without any threat of harm from the Big, Bad World out there.

The GOP is a castrated shell of it's former self.

If they weren't certainly a blowhard like Rush Limbaugh would not receive the frothy reverence he receives from the GOP.

What a bunch of eunuchs and wimps.

Despite not holding virtually any GOBP views, I really lament the loss of a strong, intellectually vibrant and patriotic GOP that we haven't seen since 1964.

As a Liberal, I agree. I do have some Conservative leanings (non-social) and do miss having 2 parties that were balanced in their differences.

I sat with my mouth open listening to the Senate confirmation hearings today. The GOP has lost it's collective nut.

I think Matthews and Maddow would appear on Limbaugh's show. But, he would never ask. Rush couldn't win a fight even on his own turf.

Bummer of Oregon

I find it hilarious that after days and days, neither Rush or anyone has come to speak out against his "words of wisdom." Are they afraid they'll have to go to his show and apologize like that wimp Steele? I'd like Rush or someone to appear on the shows.

As for the other question...I abstained from voting that one because the GOP is such a shambled mess right now. They keep switching from one "leader" to the next. It's a circus!

BUSH, CHENEY, LIMBAUGH, PALIN, GLENN BECK = Shared I. Q. of Minus 4. We need to turn these jerk off and/or in to a tribunal for their War Crimes Against Humanity - then, burn their asses at the stake.
