I have posted my thoughts, the exerpts on the lawsuit and have read what people have to say. I have been belittled by some and thanked by others... Bottom line, I am not a racists, I am not bias of my fellow man being poor and unable to work, I am not uncaring, I do not discriminate against my fellow man for color or religious beliefs, I am not Rep or Dem. and I am not a saint... I am however a proud decendant of one of the original signers of the Mayflower Compact which is the foundation of the American Constitution and a proud decendant of military ancestors from the Rev War, Civil War, WWI and my father in WWII. My dad served US Army, Normandy, Utah Beach D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, survived, 2 Purple Hearts for his service in protecting his country, family/friends/fellow Americans to keep his country out of harms way from hatred and to allow us ALL to keep our Constitutional rights and to live Free. They all fought and still fight today to keep this country and her people FREE and SAFE.. I am proud of all the military servicemen and women and am thankful to all of them for their efforts!! To live FREE is written. Freedom of Choice and Freedom of Speech are other rights Americans have and I try to honor my heritage by allowing my voice to be heard on issues I do not agree on. I am for Health reform, for Lord knows this country has needed something for many years. I am for helping my fellow man, for there are many that need the assistance. I am a single mother working 2 jobs, struggle daily to make ends meet and yet I have given my last buck many times to those that needed help and never once second guessed myself about it. I have helped my unemployed neighbor by making dinners for them and their family, but can only do so much since I have my own familiy to take care of also and I am called selfish.... Trying to survive in these times is hard and getting harder. Property taxes, state, local, federal tax go up yearly. Costs of food, fuel, clothing utilities also go up. Maintenance on homes need to be addressed, funding the schools so ones children get a good education, meeting the needs of ones growing children and just trying to survive daily is more then enough for any family. I am not against any Administration that puts the American people first, but have a problem with this one because I feel other issues should have been considered first. Washington should have addressed the unemployed, brought back or created jobs so Americans can work, fixed the already default economy. Bailing out the Auto makers, Banks, Stimulus packages, Big Corporations, Wallstreet and now this Health reform did not help anything but create a higher number on the deficit and cause a divide of the people. Was bad enough this country had the deficit from previous Administrations to contend with.Today, this country has borrowed and borrowed and there seems to be no end in sight. I worry for my future generations and my fellow Americans generations as well, who will no doubt work till they are 70-80 and have nothing to show for their hard work but a pay stub from the Gov't that they paid their tax. I am against the way this Administration went about pushing this bill through. I feel, I, along with other Americans, whether a supporter or not, should have been given the right to Choose. What will happen to those that have lost their jobs and can not find one that pays enough to meet the needs of their families, let alone pay fines, taxes, health coverage premiums and everday living expenses? Will Washington jail them for not paying because they cant? What about the Elderly and the Veterans? Will they be jailed also because they are on such a tight budget as it is, along with their other medical costs, be jailed as well? What about the millions of Illegals in this country, that are not just from South of the border? There are many in this country that are on a 4 yr visa that expired 8 yrs ago and never contributed to the economy or paid taxes.. Why is it fair they get health coverage at the American Peoples expense when we have our own country born, hard working Americans to worry about? Numbers change daily, the writtings in this health bill change daily and there are just so many questions and too little answers. I will back my state up should they join the fight in the lawsuit. I want the right to Choose what is and is not best for my family.. My generations past have done a good job without the help from the Gov't and want the same opportunity for my future generations as well. It's a shame this issue has divided the country and its people like it has. We all agree on the issue of needing somekind of health care, but disagree on the way it was approached, handled and put into law. This country has waited how long for a reform on health care? Why did this issue need to be put into law right now? On a Sunday? On the Anniversary of D-Day?? What a slap in the face to my dad and his comrades from WWII!! Washington could have waited until the country was in a better position to handle a law like this so that EVERYONE could contribute to it and avoid a uprising. I know my father and his military comrades are just turning over at the way this country is today. They would question why their efforts were ignored and tarnished. People on this site and many others that express their Freedom of Speech, type and belittle others to the point it is sad and uncalled for. If they are unhappy about the way this law was handled, then as I have posted before, contact your state Representatives and make your voice be heard. I dont much care if this law was passed by a Democratic congressional party or a Republican party. We need to come together and find a solution to get this country back to the Great Country it once was. Republicans and Democrates alike have caused this country to take a downward spiral and I think we all can agree on that.. We can not let this issue bring hatred to our own!! There are still outside sourses that hate this country and its people that we need to fear, she does not need her own people rising up against one another. The bill is law. Dems rejoyce, Reps use your freedom of speech to be heard, but dont let it divide us. This country deserves better from her own.. I will continue to exercise my Freedoms for as long as I can keep them and fight for my rights and my fellow Americans rights as well and will do so with no bias against others.. Many are not on the same side of the fence and the Freedom to speak freely can do that, but leave the hatred of your fellow mans opinions, that are different from your own, out of it and stand together to make changes and get this country back on track... If how I feel is being selfish, racists, inhumane, uncaring, stupid, callus, then so be it, but I will not belittle or rise against another in hatred because I dont agree.. God Bless
